Schools (departments) and research institutes directly under the University:

According to the Anhui University of Finance and Economics Scientific Research Project Management Measures (Ancaifa (2021) No. 42) and other relevant provisions, in order to strengthen organized scientific research, implement refined management of scientific research, and improve the quality of project results and completion rate, the next stage of all types of research projects at all levels of the final clean-up notice is as follows:

1. National Social Science Fund Project

All kinds of projects of the National Social Science Fund are required in principle to apply for closing items according to the planned completion time in the application form. The system of regular liquidation of overdue projects is implemented, and projects that can be completed before the liquidation deadline do not need to submit an extension application, among which the National Social Science Fund projects (annual projects, youth projects) initiated in 2018 will be cleaned up in September 2023. The National Social Science Fund projects (annual projects, youth projects) established in 2019 will be cleaned up in 2024, subject to the formal notice.

2. Humanities and Social Sciences Research Project of the Ministry of Education

According to the relevant requirements of the Measures for the Management of Humanities and Social Science Research Projects of the Ministry of Education (Education and Social Science [2006] No. 2) and the Measures for the identification and Conclusion of Achievements of Humanities and Social Science research projects of the Ministry of Education (Letter of the Department of Education and Social Science [2007] No. 145), the research cycle of humanities and social science research projects of the Ministry of Education is generally 3 years. The project leader shall apply for closure upon completion in accordance with the target results required by the application. At present, the annual project cleanup deadline for the 2018 project is expected to be September 2023, and the annual project cleanup deadline for the 2019 project is expected to be September 2024, the specific time is subject to the official notice. If the person in charge applies for closing items, he/she needs to provide expert appraisal opinions. If the person in charge applies for exemption from appraisal, there is no need to provide them. See Annex 1 for specific closing requirements. After the system audit is completed, the paper declaration, final report and supporting materials shall be provided to the Project Management Section of the Scientific Research Office in one copy.

3. Anhui Philosophy and Social Science Project

According to the Anhui Province Philosophy and Social Science Planning Project results appraisal and settlement Measures (Anhui Social Science Planning Office [2018] No. 12), all provincial social science planning project results (including final results and stage results) must be related to the project theme. The time limit for the completion of applied research projects is generally 1-2 years, and the time limit for the completion of basic research projects is generally 1-3 years. Time-sensitive research reports should complete the research task within 1 year, according to the rule of clearing time limit of nearly two years, the project approved in 2019 is expected to be cleared in September 2023, and the project approved in 2020 is expected to be cleared in March 2024, the specific time is subject to the formal notice. Anhui Province philosophy and social science project closure needs to be applied for through the Anhui Province Philosophy and Social Science planning Project Management System, which needs to upload the approval letter of identification closure, introduction to the results (about 2000 words), the final results, the detailed list of the use of funds (stamped by the financial department and the audit department), phased results and relevant certification materials. Unexpired projects can be submitted to the system in advance according to the completion of the project to handle the closing and other related matters, the specific closing requirements are shown in Annex 2.

4. Universities and school-level scientific research projects in Anhui Province

According to the relevant provisions of the Anhui University of Finance and Economics Research Project Management Measures (Ancaifa (2021) No. 42), the research cycle of universities and school-level research projects in Anhui province is 2 years, and if the research plan cannot be completed on time, the project leader can apply for an extension of 1 time, and the application for extension shall not exceed 1 year. Centralized cleanup work will be carried out three years after the completion of the project, among which the Anhui University scientific research project approved in December 2021 will be centralized cleanup in December 2024, and the school-level scientific research project approved in June 2021 (including the education development project) will be centralized cleanup in June 2024. Unexpired projects can apply for completion according to the existing results, and the centralized completion time is June and December of each year, the specific time is subject to the notice, and the completion requirements are in Annex 3.

V. Other items

1. The National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Anhui Province and other projects shall submit the closing application on time according to the time requirements of the target task book.

2. The research cycle of social science innovation and development projects in Anhui Province is generally 2 years, and unexpired projects can apply for closing according to the completion of the projects. The major projects, research projects and social science popularization planning projects of the province established in 2019 are expected to be cleaned up in September 2023. The specific time is subject to the official notice, and the closing requirements are in Annex 4.

Note:

1. The person in charge of the above projects (except the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Anhui Province, universities and university-level scientific research projects of Anhui Province, etc.) may submit the closing application at any time within the research period against the corresponding closing conditions according to the existing results, and submit the relevant paper materials to the Project Management Section of the Scientific Research Office.

2. For Anhui university and university-level scientific research projects involving member changes and other matters, the project leader should attach a change approval form (Annex 3) to the Project Management Section of the Scientific Research Office when submitting the relevant closing materials in June or December each year, and there is no need to submit the change approval form if the items are not settled. For other projects involving member changes, please consult the Project Management Section of the Research Office.

3. During the research period of provincial or ministerial level research projects, the project leader should organize an academic report or a series of academic lectures for students in combination with the project research (Annex 5). Academic reports or lectures will be a necessary condition for project completion.

4. For items not covered, please refer to the specific notice, or consult the Project Management Section of the Scientific Research Office, and prepare the relevant closing materials in advance.
